A fine Pocket Watch Chain made of braided human hair, circa 1850. Hair jewelry was a popular form in the mid 19th century, and this watch chain is a fine example. The T-Bar and other metal embellishments are gold plated. the larger chain is 13 1/2 inches long while the smaller fob chain is three inches. In the second photo the chain is shown attached to a pocket watch of the same period.

Excellent condition and a nice accompaniment to a fine antique pocket watch.
