Dupuy, Rev. Starke: Hymns and Spiritual Songs second edition, pub. David Niess, Jr., Frankfort, Ky. 1812. 24mo, 288pp, hard cover, leather bound.

Scuffing and discoloration to leather boards, title on spine is weak. Writing on fep, title page and tbl of contents page (Noah Shipley his book). One index page, v & vi, is mostly missing. Two other index pages have tears but no loss, and pages 193-4 have partial loss. Last four leaves have minor insect damage. Back inside cover also shows similar but very minor damage, otherwise a fairly tight copy, fair+. WorldCat shows no known copies of this edition, which is historically important to the study of American Hymnody. Interesting that it was said to have been printed in two editions, one for the Baptists, the other for Methodists. An extremely important and rare early imprint, possibly unique.
