A six inch coin silver teaspoon by Charles G. Stewart, Charles Town, Virginia, circa 1820s. The unusual slanted line background in his maker's mark is likely unique to Stewart and is well documented. Stewart was an interesting early silversmith of that town and silver by him is not often seen. A nice example in excellent condition.
