A 7 1/2 inch coin silver ladle by Smith Hunsicker, Shepherdstown VA, circa 1832.

Only in business for about three years, and his silver is quite scarce. Hunsicker is one of those interesting silversmiths who worked in the area of Charlestown, Winchester, and Harpers Ferry, along what is now the VA-WVA line. A very scarce maker, and a choice condition ladle.
