A magnificent sterling silver trophy bowl on wooden base, made by Tiffany &
Co. being a presentation piece of the OAK TREE RACING ASSOCIATION. This
trophy bowl was awarded to the winner of "The Oak Tree" (Race) and dated
October 28, 1984. A gilded oak tree emblem is featured on the opposite side
of the bowl.
A large engraved plaque on the wooden base shows the name of the winning
horse and other information that you can see in the photographs.
I believe that this race was run at the Santa Anita Race Track in
California, where the Oak Tree Association sponsored races for many years.
The silver plaque is also marked "Tiffany" and "sterling"
This large presentation piece weighs about 71 ounces troy for just the bowl
alone, which is the size of a punch bowl.
Diameter of bowl is 12 3/4 inches and it stands about eight inches tall.
With wooden base, the total height is fourteen inches.
Both bowl and stand are in excellent condition. The photos say it all.
