A magnificent large tea or coffee pot
by Beggs & Smith, Cincinnati OH, circa 1850.
Perhaps the finest piece of repousse silver from Ohio that I have seen.
It is about twelve inches to top of finial, and grapevines are the motif
that is exhibited in all facets of the pot.
Very heavy construction, one ivory insulator shows some minor loss,
otherwise in pristine condition. Monogramed in period script, "MEP".
Truly a museum piece.
