William Homes, Boston, Massachusetts, 1717-1783.

A fine 8 1/4 inch spoon,
spatulate handle with mid-rib, shell back bowl, engraved date of 1773. This
is the W (pellet) H mark. stamped twice. Homes was a nephew of Benjamin
Franklin. Only the slightest tip wear, and a few shallow bumps in bowl.
Otherwise excellent. Date of 1773 on back of handle.
About as nice a colonial spoon as I have had.
