A coin silver teaspoon, nearly six inches, by David B. Nichols, Savannah,
Georgia. Nichols had a long career in Savannah, from 1817 until 1860. This
spoon bears the "D.B.Nichols Co." mark, which was used by Nichols when John
P. Smith became his business partner in 1820. This spoon, with its shell
back, likely dates from the decade of the 1820s. Scarce maker.
