An 8 1/4 inch coin silver spoon by H. P. Horton, Savannah, Georgia, circa 1850. The maker's mark is the same as shown in Dr. Cutten's book on Georgia silversmiths. Horton was later in partnership with a Mr. Rikeman until 1856. This nice pattern tablespoon has a small monogram "MEW" in period script.
