Worham P. Loomis-Frankfort Kentucky, worked 1818- until the 1870s.

Loomis had one of the longest working spans of all the KY silversmiths. Likely he stopped actually making silver pieces by 1850, when he would have been 61 years old. This very early 7 1/2 inch fruit spoon is the earliest form that I have seen for Loomis, and I would date it in the early 1820s. The fiddle handle has a slight taper toward the end. An interesting and very scarce piece by this colorful artisan from central KY.
