A pair of beakers (Julep Cups) by Garner & Winchester, Lexington, Kentucky, circa 1845-50.

Slightly over 3 1/4 inches tall, they are about an average size for Ky. cups of this period. Both cups show the identical engraved presentation as seen in the photo. One cup is pristine, and the other as well except for a bottom rim bump as shown in photo. These are really fine Lexington Cups made by this important partnership that produced some of Lexington's finest silver items. The engraving is lightly done and could be easily removed if the buyer chose to have that done. Personally, I think that old engraved names add to the charm of these cups that have survived more than 150 years.
