A decorative and large dagger from the Indian sub-continent, late 18th or early 19th century. The wooden grip shows finely detailed enamel work and ends in a gold colored "Makara" head. The blade is Damascus Steel embellished with gold inlay. Although showing a few brown spots, the blade is quite good, actually better than the photos would suggest.
